The Cockburn Community and Cultural Council was established in 1974 at the request of the then town clerk of Cockburn. The group has produced successful programmes and events within the city, with the goal to develop and sponsor promotion of the cultural heritage. Promoting artistic and leisure-time activities by the various groups which it represents, CCCC manages, promotes and coordinates events (which also includes funding). CCCC puts on the Annual Arts and Craft Exhibition and Sale of Work every year.
Group was commenced in 1974 to develop artistic talents of local artists and craftsmen, and to promote them with sales and exhibitions within the City of COCKBURN. Many groups have had their beginning with this group including Camera Club, Wine Makers, Spinners, China Club Croatian Fundraisers, City of Cockburn Pipe Band CWA and many other clubs.
